Lebanese Spicy Potatoes (Batata Harra)

Ingredients

  • 8 gold potatoes
  • some olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • some olive
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 0.5 cup cilantro
  • 0.5 cup cilantro
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper
  • some lemon wedges

Method

  1. 1. = Roasted Potatoes =
  2. 2. Preheat the oven to 450°F and line a sheet pan with parchment.
  3. 3. Spread 8 gold potatoes (medium, peeled & cubed) in a single layer.
  4. 4. Drizzle with some olive oil and season with 0.5 tsp salt .
  5. 5. Roast for , flipping once halfway, until golden and crisp.
  6. 6. = Garlic‑Cilantro Sauce =
  7. 7. While the potatoes roast, warm the remaining some olive  oil in a small pan over medium heat.
  8. 8. Add 3 cloves garlic (minced), 1 tsp crushed red pepper and half the 0.5 cup cilantro (chopped).
  9. 9. Sauté until the garlic turns lightly golden, . Remove from heat.
  10. 10. = Finish =
  11. 11. Transfer the hot potatoes to a bowl , pour over the garlic mixture, and toss with the remaining 0.5 cup cilantro and 1 tsp crushed red pepper .
  12. 12. Serve immediately with some lemon wedges for squeezing. Enjoy the heat!
